Poverty, the Rich Young Man

The Lord's words to "sell what you have and give to the poor" (Mc 10:17-31) must be discerned by each person with the Spirit of total transparency before God wanting to truly know the "one thing that I personally lack." The spirit of poverty is allowing God to strip us interiorly of our desires, expectations, plans, attachments, securities, and consolations in order to be emptied so that we can be filled with Christ.
